  3. not sure bt i know that you can fit forks from a 550 if you want twin disks up front discussed before here
  4. if it is a dohc carbs, they can be modified but its a lot of work to get it right. the dohc carbs are too narrow and a new mounts need to be fabricated as well as the carb linkage. the carbs also have their throttle cable on the right side as opposed to the middle on the sohc bike! drewps
  5. I am riding my bike with it done that way, is that not proof enough!!!

the speedo drive goes on the left hand wheel( as sat on the bike! ) there's not a lot really to go wrong with them as they are mechanically simple utilising a worm drive driven off a "special 2 teeth washer" . this engages with the gear drive, which in turn mates with the worm drive. schematic recheck the spacers and washers are in the right order and that the drive engages in the lower fork properly. drewps

stainless get them from a2a4 fixings. just get a cheapo caliper and measure your old stuff and order new. I have also tried custom fasteners they tend to come polished with no writing on the bolts

if it uses the sohc engine, I'm almost certain that they all interchangeable. why not put the onus back on the vendor and ask him the question, that way if it don't fit, you have comeback!!

took my xs400 over to 10k today, it red lines at 9k whoops!!!
  16. you can push the tips through into the carb. this will obviously widen the hole, so you may find that you only need to take 1 full turn from bottom when tuning the pilot system. this happened to both carbs and one of those carbs twice!! (that's another story) so all is not lost drewps
  17. sounds wicked!!
  18. had a cracking day at barnsley today, and even better, got a very red suntan I got told off by the track marshalls for running too wide whilst dicing with an rd400 (I beat him in the end though. and he wouldn't talk to me afterwards) i was only using the kerb as it had a nice camber to drive on!!! this won the best '70's, and its a beaut!!

From Bristol Evening Post: Outside Bristol Zoo is the car park, with spaces for 150 cars and 8 coaches. It has been manned 6 days a week for 23 years by the same charming and very polite car park attendant with the ticket machine. The charges are £1. per car and £5. per coach. On Monday 1 June, he did not turn up for work. Bristol Zoo management phoned Bristol City Council to ask them to send a replacement parking attendant. The Council said "That car park is your responsibility." The Zoo said "The attendant was employed by the City Council... wasn't he?" The Council said "What attendant?" Foot note: Gone missing from his home is a man who has been taking daily the car park fees amounting to about £400. per day for the last 23 years...! Total sum just short £2.9 mill !!
