there's some one in the UK ebay selling/breaking an xs500

Not sure i noticed this before, when I timed the left cyl it was on the LF (left fire) mark as per manual. When I go to time the right side, its on the RT (right timing) which is for the valves. I can't get near the RF mark and left it on the RT. It runs fine, but I need to know how this could happen, ive search my brain and its not comming up with the goods any ideas anyone? drewps

TIP; take off the throttle cable with the lifted carbs out of the frame to the right of the bike, reverse to reinstall cable.

now all we need next is a video of where you can stick your peeled banana !

I have an xs1100 16mm master cyl driving two calipers up front. the bore sizes offer a different feel to the brakes, and not always for the better. my lever is rock hard and that's the way I like it!!

I wonder if the pilot screws have snapped off in the carbs. if you can totally unscrew the pilot screws and they have a blunt end, then thev'e snapped off. If they are as sharp as a needle then your OK on that one. does sound like running weak on the right, some xs's had different size jets etc in each carb to compensate for this kind of thing!!
