  1. need to strip the carb down (separatly) and if you can, use an ultrasonic bath. don't use lemon juice as it will blacken the alloy and left long enough, will corrode it. you can clean the outside by using baking soda blaster check settings against spec. i'd use 26mm for float height the mains screw into the emulsion tube which when unscrewed( and the diaphram removed) will fall out. there is a location tab to stop them turnig when the main jet is tightened. use a carb cleaner and compressed air to clean drewps
  2. always fancied that, but I'd need a bigger bike as I think the xs400 would complain too much LOL

  7. that does sound like the choke, but it shouldn't flip back, so it sounds like the little ball bearing and spring has been lost (it holds the choke bar in 3 postitons) hold it out with a clothes peg and then try and start it, then let it off when warm ed up I do like the look of the xs750's but the roadster version drewps

  16. to the forum hebrew H I had no probs fitting my f;at tracker seat to the frame, but had to cut off the rear frame rails. why not try and fit a guilari seat. that will fit straight on and looks cafe style they are made to fit the sohc and dohc models guilari seat
  17. Aye, I think you will need different thickness shims too if its the dohc model. take your gaps first and see what you need.

    poor service

I assume it was via ebay? start the complaint process and you'll soon get a response. worked twice for me especially as ebay give out their phone number as part of the process and you do phone them!!
