what ya like..... in the white boxes 3/4 up the page click the down arrow and select "yamaha" the next box enter "xs400" the next box click the down arrow and select "carburetor repair kits" then click "search" and there they are

it will if it lets in air! the SE models had a tilted M/C body due to the shaped bars

XS400 Cold Starting Problem
I'd do a service and tune up as these bikes are reliable. If you're still having problems, its usually the crud from stale fuel in the carbs

if you could make a custom part
finned engine cover! new tacho/speedo mounts/bezel? luminum rear hugger?

79 xs400 motor rebuild
top engine mount off? 2 rear mounts? front lower mounts off? sometimes the motor is reluctant to come off the frame as it tends to wedge in the front mounts. you can do a top end strip to lighten the engine and I suggest loosening the front sprocket nut as its tight (use the gears and drive chain/back brake) just rock the front up to free it and take the engine out from the right hand side.

should change your moniker to cheekygit! still got the swing arm, figured i'd get the thing rideable and mess later with that as it needs to be shaved a bit and a hybrid bearing system fabricated

no, done away with the projector lamps and using 52mm halegon jobbies as they are smaller but brighter!! I'm messing with sketchup at the moment trying to work out how to draw! BTW the panels are currently being Tigged, thanks for the part you made!

changed my mind on the headlamps coz i saw a davida helmet ad with a triumph and it looked the business. so i've cut some ally sheet and formed a couple of holes for haleogens to fit behind. hopefully Vez can help me with some bracket and a way of mounting the lamps to the board here's some piccies

Flywheel puller... most bikes use 27mm or 24mm puller?
the part number is 90890-01111 which when googled is the same as rd400/250 C and E

there was a spread on them in the Classic bike mechanics last month, i think i used them a couple of times!

back goff. still have the usual daft posters and foams comes and goes like a cuckoo clock. og is still incontinent ( or was that Merv and his crabs) good luck on your nuptuals and I'm sure you'll be ok with the exam results!
