    Posting Pictures

you were trying to post an image from a website and I think that these are barred from all forums as it may break copyright laws or whatever. try imageshack like Vez says or I use photobucket
  6. i would say you have an inner tube. If the tube is old, i would renew it. I usually change my own tyres as I buy off t'internet M&P do innertubes (expensive P+P if bought on own)as well as ebay. check that the spokes havn't punctured the rim tape inside the wheel. it would also be a good time to check spokes anyway for tightness ( tap with a screwdriver and they should all sound approx the same) drewps
  7. seat is in the background and you can see the damage as white. the battery is a 2.1 amp 12v alarm battery which only needs to power ignition, lamps and charging circuit. chopper boys have used a .8amp cig packet sized battery i their xs650s!
  8. don't take off that pin, its only a pin but is solid in there. In your picture, the first thing i see is the brass washer, pick that out! now re-screw in the brass bit but loosly and give it a little tap and the nozzle should drop down. looks like you'll be busy cleaning that crappy carb
  9. how many "f*ck'n 'ell's" can you utter <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
  10. what's the date for uttoxeter, i went the first year and it was ok!. I thought the best small show was lotherton hall near Leeds!!
  11. no probs len, we're going saturday 24th. I'm in Eccles and OT lives round the corner. eccles is only down the A57 from warrington!! drewps
  12. Howdy, I need a longer side stand for my xs400 tracker and was wondering what the length of a DT or XT would be? (measured from pivot to bottom) mine is 200mm and needs to be 250-260mm in length. not sure of the shape, but mine's like a fork at the pivot with a thread to take the pivot bolt! cheers drewps
  13. so that's an xs400 then assuming the carbs are off; the nozzle is removed by taking off the diaphram and needle, then take off the float bowl and floats. Undo the main jet screw and the nozzle will fall out through the diaphram end!
  14. nice one chris, i did reply in your other post, but what is with the side stand, i need to extend mine for the tracker and need another 50mm!
  15. did a bit more fabrication today. built me a new battery box and looked at mounting the seat but chipped the bugger, so will need a little repair
  16. nice one dan and to the forum your most welcome to get more involved and contribute, or even ask a question!
  17. how do you mean? usually its the starter gear ring or relay that fails
  18. I just put IMG tags from your jpeg so it works I use wellseal and use a small flat paint brush to apply it very thinly on each side. if its applied too thick the camshaft will have too much float and lower the oil pressure as it runs directly in the head. I have omitted the gasket goo once and still got a tight seal, but use 20w 50 oil, so tend to use the above. can you make sure that the numbers on the cam cover and head have the same serial numbers and don't forget to torque the cam cover down in the specific order that the manual says or you will distort it.
  19. very well done, never been a fan of the redwing shocks but they tie in with the cases really well. spoke wheels are great but they are a bitch to find, but if you do, get the xs360 ones with drum front brakes for that period look. glad you used the xs750 tank as it does look good and i liketh the exhaust wrap! when you fire it up lets have a vid and you riding it!! bet your dead chuffed
