    take your caps lock off, trust me, its considered rude! sohc xs400 will fit straight into the xs250 frame and is lighter to boot. electrics the same had my tea thanks check out the sticky in the classic section re:xs400 the xs frames have a triple backbone, so you'll need to adjust the tunneling to suit the frame.

    use a strobe lamp and adjust to the right hand mark when it flashes. LT and RT is for the static setting only!
  14. so long as they are both sohc and have the electronic ignition, i can't forsee any problems. it should be just a straight swap. just have a looksey at the front mountings and see if they are the same. the engines got rubber mounted at the front about 1980

  20. could be water which means head gasket failure. was it all re-torqued down after 100 miles or so?

    I'd appreciate that. I have a sealed reed relay DPST, couple of 330 ohm resistors, and a couple of ceramic caps rated @ 50v. Pillingas has given me good advice up to now, but I'm all for more info! I also managed to get meself a tiny case and mini hobby board for soldering onto. I must be good at soldering as I repaired ny vauxhaull key fob as the battery holder snapped off! cheers drewps
