there will be a lot more stresses on the arm because the steel and tube sizing would be matched to the original length, I would get a radian swingarm (if you can find one) having said that I've seen 3" stretches done but you need to know what you are doing!

As far as I can see, its the right hand wire which goes to no-where, and not sure where the tail end goes! BTW do you have a starter motor fitted? -
petrol (gas) is leaking past the float valves. just wear and tear. you can get replacments from get the whole kit and clean the carbs down one at a time!

from what I can gather, the headlamp relay is for when you initally start the bike up (headlamp = running lights in the US) you obviously don't want the headlamp on when the starter is drawing all the amps it can! the relay is activiated by a feed from the rectifier which power only gets there through the alternator. (The alternator only works when the engine is running!) I think the engine cut out switch would also cuts the relay power (thus the headlamp goes out too) I don't have a US spec bike so can't take a picture It make have been cut or not used in your instance! just leave them, unless you've cut the connector, then I would isolate the wires

John, Its not you per se, its that we get a lot of newbies on here who, 1st post, demand we tell them how to fix their bike, get the info and then leave. not good for a healthy forum I think you'll agree. We ARE a friendly bunch and we have a natter and banter just like being down the pub, only online. To answer your question, ebay is the best place an there are loads of 2 in 1 Motad systrems that come on, or widen your search to ebay.de the german site. CNSML.com may have a set but you'll pay and you could always contact Motad themselves as they may have some NOS!
