  1. used that stuff on me tracker tank, stinks a bit (still does) but sorted!
  2. Hairy specs!
  3. have fun John and ride safe. There was always a lots of scots in Blackpool, especialy when it was their holiday weeks. lets see you on the big one
  4. I've looked at the chain link too and just go for heavy duty standard chain and keep it oiled. for £22 I'm not going to bother with anythiing else!
  5. why are you posting this in the bar? workshop would be more appropriate and did you do a search on bleeding brakes? we have another member having the same issues (abet a different bike) but its all relevant!
  6. did you earth out the light blue wire near the neutral switch? if the lamp didn't light its either a live supply problem or, as said, the bulb has gone and needs replacing!
  7. short intro would be nice as a first post
  8. I'd start collecting parts for the bike when your on your travels. I personally wouldn't try and start the bike until at least I had the head off to check for rust. With the added ingredient of the turbo! those need a lot of tlc in my opinion and it might be worth checking the bearings (and pricing up for a refurb) good find though foams, the yam version of Top Gun

sounds like it needs a tune up! and maybe a new battery
  10. Andy, when buying for your 250, the 360 and 400 models are identical frame wise but make sure they are SE as that model has a slightly longer stantion. You may also want to check out Wurth springs based in germany! (via ebay) drewps
  11. sounds like hot stuff Mmmm
  12. scratch 'em and buy a new set, i'm due new for this year!
  13. as merv said, but you need to remove the final drive cover to unhook the cable. The black "plug" needs jemmying out with a flat bladed scewdriver. Gives you a chance to clean all the crud, check the front sprocket and the charging wires for damage! make sure the cable has the easiest path to ensure its smooth operation. I just fitted a new one last week and it was so light in operation as opposed to the old one.
  14. warming up for weekend, John, why not stay overnight? there's a free day out on the 8th at Northwich thundersprint. danny webb, Jim Redman,Cal Crutchlow etc etc will be there. Its about an hour and half from Blackpool! http://www.thundersprint.com/latest_news.html
