  2. Have you checked the valve gaps and timing? no1 piston @ tdc should see both valves closed on #1and trigger on alternator just at the ignition point might also be a weak spark = no spark under compression
  3. I've got the X chain via Afam and found it really durable. think i've adjusted it twice in 3k

  17. cheers Tommy, just done the haigh hall 4 miler tonight and it went well. 2 miles downhill with 2 miles uphill. I've looking forward to it and managed to raise £220 so far with work sponsors. aiming for £300 my race number is 1087 which you can use to track my progress over the course
  18. no to easy out, if they snap your in deep shit. they are hardened steel and very brittle. only way is spark erosion which is an engine strip to take to engineers your gonna have to pay someone to do something if you can't get a welder, although they are really cheap to buy and with practise easy to use. I've drilled my snapped studs out but had to use reverse cobalt drill bits as the steel work hardens due to heat cycling. Unless you know what you are doing I'd advise to get someone to do it. I made an alloy template to guide the drill bit straight and to correct depth.
