  3. I checked the vicinity and Manchester university has scanner facilities so I may try there. 6p a copy too better to save as a PDF though and have it on the PC. my SCANNING Resolution is 2400x4800 dpi,so it may work. thanks for all your help and I'll let you know what I do

    nice, I met a guy in Leeds who had built his own workshop and had a bout 6 of those in various states a rebuilding. don't see many around was the 650 fixed, if so what was it?

    xs250 rebuild

    I scour ebay for the cheapest but ATM they are being a bit silly £30 I expect to pay £25 for the 400 set. for nutz and boltz I use A2A4 fixings and they are stainless, you can buy as little as you want and have always been great. If you want to push the boat out INOX do a crankcase kit in stainless or try Mr Fastener for BZP. custom fasteners are also a company I use is you look on xs400.net (its German) they have buried in there a complete list of all the fasteners for the 250/400.

  15. Any got a microfiche scanner that could scan a microfiche I bought? Its a parts book for the FZ but its a bit hard to read at standard resolution thanking you
  16. got a seat today and trialled it on the bike for proportions bit of a gap at the front, need to ponder that a bit

    thanks to Oldtimer and my persistent nagging, he's finally gave in and let me have his old FZ600 for FREE! cheers Paul anyway, this won't be started till the Gilera's finished, but I may just change fluids etc and see if it wil pass an MOT it'll need a paint job and the camchain rattles
