ebay costs
there's also Parcel Monkey and collectplus, which use your local open all hours shop to drop off parcels. Up to 10pm too. If you have something big, i just used Uship which is an online auction where couriers bid for the work. there is a charge for that, so make sure its passed on to the recipient.

reflective stickers on helmets in France?
don't agree with this blog. saying its akin to wearing a seat belt WTF? no amount of reflective light emissions is going to stop motorists from seeing you, for one they need to have headlamps on. two they need to actually acknowledge you're there and three seatbelt - sticker, sticker - seatbelt, nope can't see a link read for your self http://getgearedforbikers.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/french-helmets-law-5-things-to-know.html

Yamaha XS250 issues
250 exhausts will fit either 400 or 250's. the engine are physically the same. for shocks just buy what takes your fancy bearing in mind that you need shocks with eyes on both ends to fit a 12mm bolt/stud.(measure to double check) watch you don't go too low or the wheel will rub inside the mudguard

Gilera 4V project
thanks, still got to buy some neck bearings and swing arm bushes, brake rod and cables and other bits I can't recall ATM. Frame needs some work and then paint and a complete rewire with 12v electrics.

little update; sent the forks hubs and rims to Manchester xtreme for new spokes and building, £130 = very cheap engine to be done next weekend if the weather is kind as I'm outside.
