I don't think so. on the xs when I withdraw the rod, the BB can come with it and I just pop it back in. I can't believe Yam would design the engine, where the BB would drop into the gearbox when withdrawing the clutch rod

if he's not stripped it down, then the BB will still be there.

sounds like a push then. did you strip it down? possibility that there is a ball bearing at the clutch end and can come out if you withdraw the rod. also they needs adjusting to take up the slack

are they the clutches with the "mushroom" actuators to pull the plates or is it the rod and worm drive to push?

I enjoy the ride/race out with the two farts, and unfortunately couldn't camp as I was working next day. If ac/rd rally is in Derbyshire again, that's a really nice area for riding in.
