I use some thermal inner gloves, they stay with you whilst you change your gloves.

I would stay stock, its a nightmare setting up the carbs. I still have a slight flat spot on the tracker and that's only two carbs

sorry no ideas regarding the lc. It depends on the charging system, field coil or mag also need to take into account the TCI requirements.I would go with the Gel IMHO
