Should have done that! There was a lot more police officers patrolling the streets of London as crime rates rise on the night of halloween.

If done professionally, you can get the rear tyre plugged... (from the inside instead of out) Personally I would swap it but it depends what you want to do.
  7. +1 on the fuses... Make sure your switch gear is clean and "healthy" as some times there can be problem with the red cut-off switch.

Be careful with the wire wool - depends on which one you get as there is different levels of abrasiveness Ive got some 0000 wire wool, the finest sh*t you can get Works wonders, if its difficult to work on, use some wd40 on the wool (but make sure you clean it throughly after)

I used to have 6V 21W bulbs in thr RXS - I had to buy a flasher unit but when I replaced it, the indicators seemed as if they needed to power up every time they flashed. I swapped them for 6V 8W bulbs, although they are not as bright, they flash at a constant rate and IMO are better.

Make sure if you forget, to then allow for the starter to cool down or u'll burn it out. I usually get half way down the road, then she would just die... Silly mistake but is a pain in the arse when you do it.

How about Hamerite? I've used silver on the side engine cases and black on both the down pipe and head. They can withstand heat quite well, can be painted over rust and you can get various finishes (different pots have different finishes)

The reason for the taps originally was for the Gravity Fed fuel system... If you leave it open in some cases it can flood. Might as well turn it off if you know your not going to use it for a few hours... But, don't forget to turn it back on!

Its not that I want to wheelie (Ive got the blade for that), its just I would like to have the power in order to wheelie if I ever needed to (not sure when but sounded right ) Might have to weld a 12 O'clock bar and some engine crash bars, add some renthals and see what I can get

Paint Stripper/Brake Fluid (maybe in a water pistol or a squeezy bottle) Note: Wear Marigolds or some form of protection on your hands... Only problem is it wont stop him making noise or driving up and down, just make you feel better. **I cannot be held responsible for any action taken after this message has been read**

Thansk for the reply... So even with 75cc less I'm still getting around about the same! *scratches head* Also, people say they can wheelie... Is that also a myth? I would love it to be true but even red-lining it I cannot get the front up in any way shape or form (not on the road by the way )

Congratulations - Welcome to the biking world! I think I was ripped off... I never got to go Burger King! Take it easy and get to grips with the bike (yours, not your dads) and one day u'll be riding the blade. Be careful

Hi, Let me introduce myself - My name is Hasan and I'm from the East End of London. I've got two RXS100 (the '88 one is my spares bucket and the '90 is the daily runner) but I seem to be having slightly problems with power... Now I know these machines are not built for speed, but Ive read of people doing at least 75 whilst mine struggles at 65-68 (even with my head down)... Ive pulled the whole exhaust off, cleaned the baffle and ran some injector cleaner to help with the jets, but I still can't get power I want from her. Also, the power band doesnt kick in until 5000 revs, is that normal? Can you think of anything for me to check which might help? She has the usual other RXS symptons for example the Front Forks can get very soft under heavy braking, the Oil light flickers and will remain on when the two stroke tank is half empty and also the weak 6 volt electrics... Look forward to your replies, Thanks

Sorry for bringing up an old post - did you get it sorted out? The indicator wires run along the middle of the frame, you may have pulled the connectors out? Remove the seat (two nuts at the back) and slide it backwards (away from the tank)... Now you should see a green and brown wire coming from the back, thats the wires... Also, if its all conected, check to see if the indicators are getting power... If not, it could be the flasher which is under the top yoke (situated just under the tank)... Its a 2 pin 6v flasher.
