    Hi I have a 99 xj600n which had the same problem there is a yamaha mod for the breather system which does away with the small pipe from the rocker cover and replaces the large pipe from the crank case the kit has all the unions clips and rocker cover bolt and instructions takes about half an hour to fit it cost 39 euros inc p+p from www.cmsnl.com hopefully that sorts the problem out.
