Hi, I have an R6. It has 7,000 miles on and I expect it still has the original Chain & sprockets. I have an option to buy a used chain & sprocket set for £45. It has apparently had less than 100 miles of use as the bike was converted to a race bike straight away. It comes with a chain, stock rear sprocket, 15T front sprocket, and new chain link. Is that a good price? Should I bother replacing mine?
  2. I have a 2006 R6. The key is giving me trouble, and I suspect a faulty ignition barrel. Sometimes wiggling the wire at the back of the ignition works; sometimes it doesn't. This is a UK bike with an imobiliser. Can I change just the ignition barrel or do I have to change the Ignition, ECU, Petrol Cap, and Seat Lock? Will the required parts from any other year fit the 06?

I have seen a lot of bikes advertised (mostly on ebay), and I am sure that they are advertising the incorrect model years. My understanding is that the tail on 06+ bikes is very tapered. for example...Here is my bike that I got 2 days ago. It is a 2006. And here is one (on ebay), which is advertised as a 2007 model. I could easily give many more examples of bikes listed as 06 or 07 models which are clearly not. How can this be?
