there's just far too much bullsh*t in the military right now, it's gone downhill in the 4 years i've been in and it will get worse, there are very very few perks now due to cut-backs, i used to actually look forward to going to Afghan because the UK bases were that shite. It may have just been my previous posting, but we were getting fast-tracked engineering managers posted in with little or no aircraft experience who then came up with stupid ideas and changing everything around, usually it was a case of "go and do this", and when questioned or the reply was usually "Because im a (insert rank) and i say so", in my civvy job at Currys if the management had a stupid idea i would tell them to get stuffed and explain why it was a stupid idea, then come up with a better idea, it was more acceptable to give feedback and less chance of getting a charge or disciplinary action. the olympics was the last straw tbh, they were extremely crafty about how they managed to get away with not having to conform to European working laws, we were working 05:30-19:00 every day for 2 1/2 months usually just grabbing a 5-minute smoke break whenever you could, living in what was essentially a shipping container (4 people in each) in the middle of a bug-infested forest park, we were basically free labour, same thing is happening for RIAT (air tattoo) this year. as soon as they give me my NVQs, City and Guilds and my driving licences im gone, fancy doing something bike related tbh

But then I would also spend my time running around a field and cuddling up to other smelly hairy arsed squadrons under a bivvie sheet at night Nah, I like my cushty hotel rooms, only got to stick with it for 4 more years and I'm out

Such elegant curves, looks even better in black and white, nice rack aswell, would never ever ever get tired of riding that, not even when i was sore and blistered. Late model 'Div, the successor to my beloved Rattler, dam i loved that sweet ass bike of mine could do 100,000 miles on those bikes and it may need a new set of plugs at the most.

Its coming to squires, even if i have to drag it on a trailer behind the cage!. I have the gelcoat ready for the fibreglass, got it running on both cylinders with the addition of some carb-cleaner in place of easy start, but didnt keep it running for more than a few seconds because its water cooled and none of the pipes are connected, really want to ditch that fuck ugly coolant bottle in place of a nice brushed stainless one. Will be making a new mudguard tomorrow using the old one as a mould, going to have to change it slightly by removing all the mounts for the electrics (which are now under the seatpan itself) and adding in a slight recess for the 6ah battery. Also my LED pilot lights have arrived, these will be going INSIDE the clocks aslong as i can get them open without marking them. the ignition switch will be somewhere behind my right knee. will be swapping those bottom yokes over tomorrow as the XS top yokes kindly donated by Tommy werent an exact fit (the internet lied to me!) so i will be using the XS bottom yokes aswell, should bring the forks back towards the frame by about 5mm at the most i can see now that this is a project i will never truly finish, there will always be something i could do better or will want to change about it. but thats all part of the fun Also, whilst opening my cupboard to get some instant noodles last night i knocked one of the indicator lenses out, it hit me right on the eyebrow leaving a big blue lump and then smashed on the floor FUCKS SAKE!!!!

Thing is, i know f*ck all about businesses... i mean, apart from that you buy stuff and sell stuff on for a profit (hopefully) The questions i am finding myself asking now are what is my insurance? (been looking into public liability for when i venture into servicing and light repairs), when and how do i regsiter for VAT? what do i pay VAT on? how do i work it all out?. im keeping it small for now, very small... its just me, i buy/break/sell, balance carbs and valet Also, project FUCR is now full steam ahead
