  3. Well it was 105.2, but planet rock have recently taken over that freq, i use their online app although its still available on DAB.
  4. nah i took the bike apart and put it in the back of the kia, was a long old drive and being a southern lad it was rather strange and unsettling going that far up north... the countryside was nice just a shame about the people

I once travelled from Newbury to grimsby to pick up a DT i bought for £50., 400 mile round trip burning £70 of LPG. just the other day i was thinking of buying an air operated tyre changer between me, the old man and my brother as we are always needing to put tyres on and off, have seen the manual ones on youtube but not convinced how good they would be
  8. Mumbls is now on eBay too much of a pain in the ass tbh, plus since the fireblade didnt sell this is the next toy i need to get rid of, aswell as the second FTO.

EH101?... i spent two and a half years working on the military variant of that helicopter... when it worked it was brilliant, but most of the time it didnt work. on a different note, i went to pick up another FTO this weekend, got back at 10:30pm friday night and didnt leave the workshop until 1pm saturday morning, went down the workshop again midnight saturday night and emerged about 5am this morning, had a few hours kip and went down again about midday and just come in now for some dinner .
  10. the DT50 was my first moped, and one night i got a bit tearey-eyed on eBay and bought a few of them (5 or 6 at this point), ive sold the rest of them off and kept one to one day be a nut-and-bolt restore just as i remember it. the 550?, well the fireblade does 25mpg on a good day... so that has to go. my XJ600 used to do 50mpg at 90mph, so the 550 will hopefully be around that area, be my daily runaround, look badass and be cheap at the same time. if i had more cash than sense, i would have a ducati sport 1000 classic.
  11. i would fully restore my XJ650 turbo (finally). sell the fireblade, it doesnt do anything for me. fully restore my DT50MX back to exactly how my 'donkey' used to be. Build my XZ550 cafe racer, supercharge it, electronic dash and ignition, that would be my daily rider. convert the FTO lpg, just to get me from A-to-B.
  12. so wait, the shirt im giving you as a trade for the XS yokes is redundant now?... oh cheers dude... now i have to wear a "tommy XS" tshirt all weekend and look like a bellend the XS is far from roadworthy, im back home for the weekend as i havent been around for a month so after this im probably going to tackle the XZ flat out over next weekend, its going to be an uphill battle i can see it now.

  14. it may have to be a case of flat-pack my DT50 into the boot of the FTO... ive done it before with a nissan micra so it should work.

  18. been a tad preoccupied. Ive spent the last 2 weeks living at the end of a runway in a tent with no phone signal and the nearest pub was a 5-mile walk. Fireblade hasnt been sold. Kia has developed an irritating misfire and insurance has run out. FTO is in for its re-test, picking it up tomorrow, will then need to tax it, but no towbar so wont be able to trailer the FUCR. im out of ideas, cash and enthusiasm, lots of work still to do before i can even contemplate taking it for an MOT, i have most of the bits i need its just a case of fitting it all together in a way that is A: legal and B: works, turns out the battery is not going to fit under the tail unit, so my idea of having an "open" frame has gone to shit as the only place i can really put it is behind the engine. new tyres are still under my bed waiting to be fitted, clocks are on but the yokes wont fit, so im going to ditch the risers off the originals and machine some clamps to hold the stanchions, then drill the original and use some XS handlebar clamps to hold the ace bars on.
  19. good luck trying to find a top yoke that will fit, im converting one to cafe-racer spec (gradually) and finding a direct fitment yoke is a pain in the ass, trial and error is your best bet here bud. alternatively, ditch those gay-ass risers and machine yourself some nice retaining clamps to fit on the ends instead, then add ace/club bars as im doubtfull you will get a set of clipons to clear the tank
