  1. You's can all leave my arse alone! That's an exit only, not an entrance!
  2. This is a towing dolly: Will mainly be towing small/medium size cars, also a 10x5 box trailer as there is no way im going to rebuild the XJ Turbo in the middle of a f*cking carpark.
  3. Got my eye on a pajero, it's an import so flat tax rate (220 a year) and the Kia is up on ebay
  4. Precisely my point jimmy, hence why i am now using a recovery dolly to move my cars, only problem is it is illegal. sometimes you just cant win. The kia was about £1000 a year to insure, the FTO was £1600, a 3.0L Pajero would be £1000 (or £1200 for a 2.8TD), a 1.6 Astravan would be around £2000, an 01-reg Iveco Daily would be £3500. They're all a bunch of robbing bastards the lot of them, im never ever ever going to make a claim on my insurance because none of my cars are worth more than £1-1.5k, and if i did i could expect to see my renewal price shoot up for the 5 years following.
  5. Even an escort/astra van would be classed as a van, and because I'm so young van insurance is a ripoff even if it's a car-derived van, I may resort to buying an estate and blacking out the rear windows.
  6. Won't be a new car, depreciation is a killer! Up.yours, get out
  7. Hi there peeps, Ive been using a Kia Sportage for the past 3 years now, it has 112,000 miles on the clock, is running on LPG/Petrol and has never put a foot wrong, but i feel the time has come to move it on as i have the FTO for general driving, I only really use the kia now for moving motorbikes and occasionally a towing dolly and would like to upgrade as it isnt really suited to towing anything heavy (It's a 2L petrol after all), also since owning my Kia the road tax has gone up from £255 a year, to £265, then this year it hit £285, yet my dad and brother pay £220 a year to tax their 5.2L Dodge ram vans?? (same as my FTO). Im 20 years old so a van is out of the question, im not paying £3500 to insure a battered sprinter, if i wanted to be robbed blind i could find a much more fun way to do it than paying for some insurance companys Christmas ****-up. I was looking at something like the old 2.8 Pajeros/Delicas as i would like to keep it jap and as an all-round utility vehicle i feel these would be ideal, preferably sub-£1000, i am competent enough to change head gaskets, skim heads and do moderate repair work to get it roadworthy, i would like an import as it will most likely be cheaper to tax as imports are unclassified. nothing too flashy as it will be used as a mobile toolbox essentially. a landcruiser would be nice, but i can dream on Pickups are a possibility however due to the open beds may not be suitable for tool storage So, for what i want to do with it, at my age, with this criteria, what options are open to me?. any input would be appreciated peeps. x
  8. It's surprising really, none of you have ever seen me in the flesh... I've only been here nearly 5 years Bippo, I am honored to still be on your radar
  9. my donkey was as tuned as i could get it. bigone exhaust and expansion pipe, fibre reeds, big bore kit and was geared up with a taller front sprocket and smaller rear.
  10. My DT50 with a 60cc big bore kit used to do 50mph, iirc i was running the stock carb with a 98 main jet
  11. Ofc i am looking for a female, although i would settle for a smartly-dressed simian.
  12. I've met the 3 most recent ex-missus-foamys through Tagged, and as lovely as they where most of them were nutters
  13. Considering Zippo is married, I vow not to tempt her from the path of faith. If however one of our fine female members or daughter/relative of one of our members is joining us... I'm sure if can pitch a tent for them.
  14. I have you know I've not had any complaints from those unfortunate to receive company with this finely-honed physique It-shirts not the size of the hammer that matters, it's how hard it drives the nail
  15. you calling bippo fat? , You've made a powerful enemy today, my friend...
  16. Birmingham would be ideal, i tried calling them to re-arrange on friday but went through to voicemail, left a message and no reply . I understand that i already have sponsors so im not going to shit-can it, id prefer to move to a different venue, either the 'brum one just before my birthday or the wolverhampton one which is commuteable by train for me. I will be at squires, that is fact. wether or not i can stay saturday night aswell, depends on wether i can rebook my run..
  17. Shit, just been out to the shed and cant find my tent anywhere! Bippo, any room in yours?...
  18. Ive been running the same Shark S500 Air 'lid for the past 2 years, probably due for a renewal. some of the plastic trim on the oustide has snapped off through being dropped/rolling off the shelf, but other than that i find it is a quiet lid with good fit, cost me about £100 when new with a bit of discount from a dealer iirc.
  19. need to sort my FUCR out...
  20. The New Kia sportage do look lovely, but it would be a bit too nice for lugging tools and bike parts around. As for the FTO it's electronically limited to 118mph (cuts all power and coasts down to about 105mph)... It can be removed but I haven't got round to it
  21. The almighty sportage Although now i have my FTO, so the kia just sits on base being used as a tool shed/tow vehicle for doing runs to the scrappy, i would sell it if the right offer came along but right now its fine just sitting there. Its all about the mitsy now especially when i get the LPG kit up and running, 28mpg on a run, but at 70p a litre thats almost as good as my old XJ600 was! More toys than an only child, dvd player, moodlights, original road flare e.t.c
