can you not test the starter motor itself using a known good battery? O.o worked on the SR project i had, if you have 12v at the terminals on the battery you should atleast get an attempt at the engine turning.

my experience of polyphase systems is limited, perosnally i'd be checking for continuity between all combinations of the three poles on the switch. never had much experiance with domestic wiring other than change plugs please for f*cks sake dont electrocute yourself.

We tend to get an influx of 17-year old UK 'bikers' who have just passed thier CBT (basically ride around a car park without falling off) and then want to make it as fast as possible until it self destructs, and then ask for help on how to fix it despite the previous advice given of keeping it stock and reliable, after a while it gets tiresome replying to the same sort of thread over and over. my DT50MX used to top out at just over 50mph (80kph) but not for any extended period of time, so if you can get a 125 to do 130mph (210kph) without it exploding spectacularly and throwing you over the handlebars, you must be doing something right

The old mans 'blade ended up being a cat C writeoff 16 years ago (2 years after the bike was made, most of it was probably fairings, headlight, mirror, indicator e.t.c) although he didnt know when he bought it. the resale value has gone from £2500 to £1500 as any bike/car with a history of damage is less desirable as a 'straight' one, so even if your bike is repaired even as a Cat D you may find the resale value is affected, definately worth checking with the insurance company (in this case, sheilas) to check the status.

keep the rubber on the road, bro look after those little engines and they wont give you any problems, and if they do chances are it can be repaired with chewing gum and a bootlace. -

Flasher can would be my guess. When I got my SR the contacts had rusted together and caused them to stay on, after a bit of gentle persuasion I managed to get them to work again (gently prise them apart and use electrical cleaning spray -

Hey peeps. just found this website, not sure how accurate the numbers are, but apparently there are only 13 road registered DT50MXs (and another 20 sorned, two of which are mine), so i fear my donkey has long been scrapped .
