  1. I used to homebrew hard cider in my mums potting shed, using 3x 2 litre coke bottles linked in series to a syphon vent, one of the tubes got blocked and the bottle split, spraying sticky mess all over the place (stop sniggering...)
  2. Welcome bud. Nothing wrong with £400 cars, never likely to loose any money on them!, ive bought great cars for less than that and some right shit ones for more!
  3. Time to dust off the mankini.
  4. IIRC there is a basic fusebox of sorts, containing 4 switches, cant remember exactly where it is on your bike though
  5. Hope you're okay after the crash, welcome back. If your clutch is dragging another common symptom is selecting neutral becomes harder (you usually end up flipping between first and second), check the clutch travel, the cables stretch and parts wear so it happens.
  6. I just used a load of windscreen washer hosse that i had laying around from my scrapped cars, works pretty good although i havent used the vac gauge for years.
  7. '89 Yamaha DT50MX #G237MYA - Best bike in the world ever, would buy it back if i could find it. '94 Jawa 640 - Bought as a barnfind, sold it a few years later to a mate at work, was a bit of a heap tbh. '89 Yamaha XJ600 - Sounded like a bag of bolts but fast enough and almost cheaper than walking. '82 Yamaha XJ650 Turbo - Ongoing restoration project. '94 Honda Fireblade Urban Tiger - Nice bike to look at, fast, not really my thing though. '82 Yamaha XZ550 - Cafe racer project. '88 DT50MX - Bought to restore, now stripped and rebuilt and hidden away in the garage until i am old and wrinkly. '83 DT50MX - Bought as a donor bike. '9? DT50MX - Bought as a donor bike. '8? DT50MX - Bought as a donor bike. '8? DT50MX - Bought as a donor bike. '9? DT50MX - Bought as a donor bike. '83 Yamaha SR125 - Pulled it out of the hedge, fixed it up and sold it on. '04 Yamaha Neos 50cc - Moped, bought as a non runner, got bored of it and sold it on. '00 Aprillia SR50 - Non runner, broke for parts. '8? RD80MX - bought to restore, lost interest, sold it when i moved base. '04 Yamaha XT125X - Bought from grouch, fixed it, then couldnt get a spark, got pissed off and sold it. '88 Honda CBR600 F1 Jelly mould - Bought as a project, sold on for a bit of a profit. 8. New pastime perhaps? (swiped from Merv via facebook)
  9. Sold!. the old man is renting an industrial unit later in the year, so im hoping i can hide the DT50 away for a few years until its worth its weight in gold and get started on the Turbo again!
  10. Terrific engineering, yes... but offering it up for sale in Wal-Mart for every mooncat to play with... not so good...
  11. But still, having a rip on the seat on a bike like that is like having a super model wife with an amazing personality... and a huge hairy mole on her cheek... its not everything but its noticeable
  12. well, nesting insects then. i found a big-ass fookin hornet hiding in the seat foam of my DT50, really angry looking aswell with a massive arse dagger of death.
  13. my 54 plate went for about 550 with no spark, so 750ish? put it on eBay at 99p and let the people go mad over it, seems to work for me.
  14. I prefer, infinately, to be naked.
  15. Basically it's just like a normal club, write a bit about yourself, where your from, what you do for fun. You'll get more response once people here get to know you better, it's a bit like walking into a bar you gotta introduce yourself. In the mean time, if you need any technical advice post a thread in the workshop section, the bar section is for general tomfoolery, video section is for videos bike related or not, for sale/wanted is open to paid members, general is general bikes stuff. Hope this helps!
  16. Hi Tim, welcome from across the pond!
  17. Oh, i see, this guy does it and its considered art, i try it and all of a sudden its harassment.
  18. I agree!, i find BBQ paint works best on spannies. also, get yourself a new seat cover! else the water will creep in through that tear on the right hand side and make your seat foam go all mouldy!.
  19. I used to get 50 out of the donkey flat-out on the limit for around 20 seconds before it started to pinch up...
  20. Ah, im quite late here, sorry 'bout that peeps. Welcome to the club, straite jackets come in small, medium and large, please refrain from drawing on the walls with crayon and the insanity is contageous I learned on a YBR125, they are pretty much bombproof as long as you look after them, things like checking tyre pressures and chain tightness should be a daily thing, get it serviced when its due and it will look after you And above else, assume the other road users are retards, because tbh most of them are, if you see one waiting at a junction make eye contact with them or watch the wheels for signs of movement (i.e. them pulling out... giggity...)
  21. floats stuck in up position? (needle valve stuck)
  22. Also known as: Laying cable Curling one round (a particularly large shit which is one large piece and has a tendancy to curl around the U-bend, may need a coat hanger to cut it down to flushable size) Also, it may be worth noting: Hydraulic cough / technicolour yawn - Vomit Chin rest - the part between a mans balls and bumhole, aka the 'gooch'
  23. Can you draw a diagram or something? im not quite sure what you mean, i made some spacers up for someone else not too long back.
