    tit monday

now i just gotta listen out for the unmistakeable "thump-thump-thump-thump" of the V-twin lucian... i think this is what they call "calm before the storm"
  2. hot shit, im tuning in fo shizzle. need to go to poundland and buy another one of them protable radios to keep on my bikey...
  3. erm, ive heard of copper-based grease, but never alluminium based... aslong as you dont use it for bearings and places where you NEED to use conventional grease, i can't see the harm in using it for things like levers and stands

    Helmets?

Hi everyone im looking for a new helmet as my current one is a bit primative, large and heavy (its a plastic Wulfsport helmet) anyway, ive been looking at some nice MX style helmets (carbon fiber one for £100 in george whites) but none of these seem to have visors, and for me that is a nescessity (sp?). so does anyone know where to find a good, lightweight MX helmet with a visor? (preferably a fibreglass or carbon fiber one)

  8. R6 is a wet sump yes?. could just have been where you left it standing the oil has drained back into the sump.
  9. Could be both, some riders give a full forward nod, some just flick their head to the side, some flick their had backwards, some just flash their lights. or if you're anything like my crew, you stand up and give a full wave, like what the queen does
  10. Formation Ped Riding: Point ahead, then shrug - "f*ck it, lets see where this road goes!". Feet up on mudguard, left hand resting in lap - "Get a move on, im getting bored" Feet on back pegs, body moved up to pillion seat - "Lets get some air time over them speed bumps!" Shrug and shake head - "i dont know where the f*ck we are.../ You dont know where the f*ck we are, do you?" Fist clenched, shaking vigorously - "i'll get you for what you just did to my precious ped..." Head nodding - "Oh yeh, ped riedouts are FTW!" Head nodding towards sidewalk - "Hey, check out the street meat..." Left arm bent behind, pointing to the back of the bike - "Get behind me (often whilst navigating single lane traffic/obstructions)" of course, most of these are unique to peds and/or the Newbury Ped Crew
  11. lol, Billy Conoley is probably one of my biggest influeces. this poor little fifty wont get me all the way to scotland, it'll be shagged out before i even reach t'north. maybe somewere closer, touring the southern coastline perhaps...
  12. Hmm, think maybe its going to have to wait until i get a bigger bike and a proper licence . ... right, maybe a two week tour of the british coast then...
  13. oh... erm... thats a bit of a bummer maybe i start thinking of somewere within the UK to tour...

    max loads

dont worry, after fridays nights' dodgey kebab you will be back down to 99kg on saturday morning
  15. i will admit, i also do that... best part is when the sun is out and you get all those mid-life crisis pricks out in their BMW convertables, one sharp downward pull on the wingmirror and you can leisurely pass it back to them through the open window or chuck it on the back seat if the ragtop is down, before filtering away through the traffic jam another good one is when the White Van Man decides to pull a stunt and almost take me off, at the next traffic light, get as close as you can and write as much profanity as you can on the back door before riding off again. The ringroad is my playpen

    mot?

chain and sprockets, wheel bearings, wheel tread, shocks (check for pitting, leaks e.t.c), check calipers for leaks, brakes are functioning, the electricals are working, as long as your bike is in pretty good shape you should be fine
  17. bad news, checked my policy documents and it doesnt mention the republic of ireland, only northern ireland... may have to call swinton and see if theres anything i can do about that... also sent an email to the DVLA in regards to my provisional licence... just have to wait and see
  18. Hello/Ayeup/Mornin' - short, swift nod, not always administered to learners and/or scooter riders. Police Nearby - Opening/Closing hand on top of helmet, symoblising a revolving light Your ride is laughable! - Head tilted backwards and pointed at the offending rider.

  21. Cor'Blimey... there's something running down my leg ... fancy a trade?... my DT50 for your DT?
  22. Haha, Balls lane! nice to see someone out and about enjoying themselves, ride safe and post up more pics!
  23. ive used busters a lot in the past and their shipping charges are good aslong as you order in bulk (set of handguards, leathr jacket, two tyres and some other stuff posted for £4.95), but if you are just buying a spark plug or something small then £4.95 is a bit OTT for posting. always pays to have a good nosey through the clearence bin at Busters though, picked up my Tuzo leather jacket for £50, reduced from £130 have added tytrials to my favourites and will use them in future
  24. - Engines last for as long as you maintain them, my DT was on its original bore with 23,000 miles on the clock with only a new set of rings before i decided to put a big bore kit on - Servicing can be done annually, on the newer engines people may choose to do it every 6 months, this may include changing the oil and filters and a general check
