  1. Towers are where its at. i've upgraded my graphics card on the main system and built a backup unit out of spares and freebies (1.2ghz AMD, 40gb HDD, Linux OS) and i can safely say a tower is your best bet. make sure you have good cooling though, a decent cooling system is the difference between a reliable and effecient PC and one which lags, bugs and wont run GTA 3

Goff, i've warned you before about teasing me! i fancy a rideout to the beach... see if i can't pick me up some dollies with my super-awesome DT... its a babe magnet (or maybe thats just me... )
  3. lol, my mate had some on his BMX but they kept getting nicked. i used to have a little pair of trainers with lights in the soles, but water got in them and only one worked after that , now i walk/ride everywhere in my steel-toed work boots, Mmm... comfy
  4. my DT usually starts without the choke, only exception is when its been left outside on very cold nights or in temperatures around freezing, then it usually needs a bit of choke but other than that it starts fine without. also check your drivetrain for general wear and tear, chain/sprockets, gearbox output bearings, it all adds up
  5. can't go, i aint got the money aint got a job now either... and ive got another 4 months to go before i can start at the RAF
  6. just seen your in Beccles, about 190 miles away from me, lol. would wear out a chain and back tyre just getting there. i often go riding through town with some "mates", usually 2 Peugeot Speedightds, a Yamaha aerox, an Aprillia RS50 and a Gilera DNA and me on my DT (can outrun the lot of them, apart from the Aprillia 'cus thats a six speed ¬¬) and we get our fair share of odd looks, in my opinion, 125s are just a step up from peds, so its still not as cool as a 400/600 bike. plus i want the power of an FZR400 Exup XD

    TIT MONDAY!
  8. try getting a bumblebee out of your helmet at 40mph on a dual carriageway... bloke in the pickup behind me must have thought i was drunk or something...
  9. same here, im taking my full test in october... i sure as hell aint riding through another freezing cold winter on a 50... maybe some nice heated grips on the jawa, and a screen to hide behind...
  10. Gas Up - i would imagine its a bit harder doing tight turns with a 900 than it is on a ped... need to go play with my 350 for a while i think... just sit on it in the shed making noises and leaning over
  11. we all have to start somewhere, whilst the CBT is very basic it helps keep a lot of us younger riders safe. there are further training programs such as "BikeSafe" which can further help your safety. a bit of experiance goes a long way on the road though, and i perosnally think there would be LESS accidents if us young'ens on 50cc bikes could ride something bigger at 16 so we can keep up with the traffic...

    R1 Winner

NO WAY! ... i thought i was going to win that... all the best mate, ffs dont kill yourself on it, i hear they are a bit fierce
  13. ooh, look at you Mr. "i wipe my ass", you think you're better than us eh? i sneezed with my visor closed at a set of traffic lights once... light turned green and my mates on peds rode off laughing... , not physically injured but my pride was severly damaged
  14. was a fun day, my mate wasn't able to come out (couldn't get out of bed, more like... ¬¬) so i went there all on my tod, had a wander around, won a tank protector whilst playing splat the rat and saw Mattie Griffin throw a GSX600 around (gave me some ideas for roundabouts on the way home... ) hopefully they have another one soon
  15. is there any way to stop the blistering under the paint?, my DT exhaust is right behind the front wheel and gets caked in sh*t, when i clean the exhaust it tends to take some of the paint off or i find that it has blistered up and is flaking. i did consider making a little brush guard to keep the majority of the sh*t off the exhaust, but much like the rest of my projects i haven't got round to it
  16. Pod filters are cheap, around £5 posted each from hong kong, they don't give a HUGE increase but on my DT50 i did notice a slight improvement in engine pick-up and a deeper exhaust note. a good second-hand exhaust system would be a wise investment aswell before you start doing any mods engine-wise
  17. oh yeh, chicks digg scars when i turn up in my leathers and ripped jeans they all drop at my feet , im so 'ard...
  18. if you ever sell that DT let me know, i absolutely LOVE IT! nice SR btw
  19. not as nice as the FZR1000 EXUP that came blasting past me on the way back from George Whites today, left me nursing a semi for sure... how's the custom artwork going? any neat floral designs?

  22. welcome to the asylum whatever the problem is, its bound to be the one you think of last
  23. I know just how you feel, i bought a Jawa 350 off ebay in february... pics werent very good, had no idea what the bike looked like, if it turned over, if it was complete, description was very short, won the auction for about £150. went up to swindon a few weeks later with my dad to pick it up in the van, met the bloke in sainsburys car park and he wheeled it out of his van, flat tyres, paint peeling off, flat battery, carb hanging off, covered in dust, rust and sh*t. put it into our van, paid and went back home to newbury. first week or so was trying to get it running, having only been riding 3 months and having literally F/A experiance with engineering and motors i didnt know what i was doing, a seal was missing in the carb which meant the bike would not run i still got that Jawa, it now starts first kick every time and runs very well, i have since sealed the carb up and needs only the exhausts sealing up, new rear tyre and new alternator brushes to get it tip-top again. always keep positive, first stage is getting it running so sort that out first and then you can start thinking about what to do with it in terms of tidying it up. usually once you hear it fire up for the first time it gives you a reason to keep working on it. clean up what is rusty and re-use what you can, if it is something simple like a gasket then make it, don't start buying new parts unless it is really essential to the running of the bike. its all a learning curve, just for some it is steeper than others
  24. i say, if it aint broke, fix it until it is
