  1. Who was the drummer from the band Busted?...
  2. 'fraid I don't bud, sold them on as a pair months ago :/
  3. Fucks sake. I was born in 1992, I have no fucking idea!
  4. I'm planning to keep it stock as it would have been made, restrictors and all. Frame is going to be black, silver swingarm, I'm undecided what colour to do the bodywork as until I get a V5C for it I don't know what colour it should have been originally!
  5. Stripped and ready for paint next week
  6. If medical science can't, he's got no f*cking chance
  7. I can't keep them all I suppose, will be putting up an advert once I've put the rest of the stuff on (exhaust pipes etc) and see how much interest there is

    twix of doom

    ... This is hot...
  9. It's still f*cking cold, windy and wet!
  10. Nothing wrong with that, I'm currently working in the works car park . Good progress man!
  11. So are the parts interchangeable?, I've ordered a few universal bits for it but things like the fairings etc I want to make sure I get right So far I'm needing: Rear mudguard Rear light assy Oil tank Autolube pump + cable wiring loom. LH switchgear Seat cover Fork seals and gators Chain guard Will need to have a proper look at it in the light tomorrow.
  12. Airhead was right, it's a DT LC! 125 with matching engine and frame numbers, not sure whether it's a mk1, mk2 or mk3. The VIN prefix is 12W
  13. Well peeps, picked up another little project tonight. Was a bit interesting getting it home in the absence of my big truck. Can you tell what it is yet?...
  14. Well worst case scenario is to take the head off altogether and give it to our guy in station workshops and let him repair it. (he's CNC'ing a new top yoke for project FUCR aswell)

    History,

I did suggest making a YOC dating section before!
  16. You should try sandblasting, then you get crunchy bogies!
  17. Sorry drew only just seen your message. I'm going to look into the zephyr tank and see if it would fit over the rails, iirc my pre-diversion XJ had a single frame rails so not sure if the tank will fit :/
  18. It's the front corners of the tank which are rusted, the pictures probably explain my problem a little better.
  19. Almost forgot about this one. I picked up what remains of an FJ1100 from the same guy I got my 1200 from back in December, it had been robbed of its running gear for a trike project and basically just left in the garage in pieces. Using some spare parts I had left over from the FJ1200s I broke last year I've now got most of the parts needed to put it back together (the engine was an eBay purchase and is an original 1100cc unit with similar mileage) Also has a set of krauser K1 panniers which is a bonus. I'm still undecided whether to keep it or get it up and running and get rid of it, but atleast it's been saved from the scrapheap.
  20. I'm still trying to find a set of top yokes that match these dimensions, the XS400 ones fall about 10mm short of the stem. Will post a pic without tank tomorrow, too dam dark and cold out there now.
  21. Not tried a bandit tank, I know the Kwak zephyr has twin frame rails aswell, so that may be a solution. Turns out that tank is fucked anyway, I started stripping off the multiple layers of paint (and filler) only to find the corners are rotten. Got myself some new brackets to hold the seat/tailpiece on and just need to stitch them to the frame now that it's in a position where I'm happy with it. It's all slowly coming together wheels are coming off at the weekend to have a refresh and new rubber, battery is on order and I have some Z250 side panels that will need cutting down, really torn between painting it gloss black with silver pinstriping or just going flat NATO green
  22. Tax exempt aswell! Nice find
  23. Well now I'm back in the country for a while I decided to drag the FUCR out from the car park and do something to it. I've cut the old lugs off the frame and rerouted the loom to where I want it. The battery is now going back in its original place on the left hand side behind the engine, the regulator will be on the right partly protruding past the side panel. The tank is rusty in the bottom corners and leaks, still undecided whether to keep it or bin it and find another tank that will fit over the twin frame rails and still allow me enough room to run air scoops into a smaller airbox on top of the carbs. The tail unit is from a Z250, the rear lights just happened to appear on ebay. It's slow progres, I lost a lot of enthusiasm after some c*nt started robbing bits off it.
  24. That is the plan, I'm back at work all week and the bike is at my dads so won't be able to do anything to it until the weekend
