I have several bookmarked, but I'm kinda fucked off with international shipping and their mistakes right now. Was hoping for something a bit closer to home.

First one - I barely even know what that thing is. I'd probably need a lot of help with that. Second one - Have been thinking about it. However, it is 540mm long - waaaaaay past my 220mm max! I had wondered if I could just cut it and solder the ends or something... whaddya reckon?

Well I was rear-ended while stationary, so that's all I'll be watching for. But nah, it's all good. I was riding all through Winter still and this week is possibly the longest I've not ridden in a few years. However, I'll be back on the FJ and up the MoT centre in less than 24 hours from now... If all goes well there, then my beloved Battle-Bitch and I will be reporting for combat duty the *very minute* my insurance gives me clearance... literally, I'll scan the cert, email it and be on the phone to them while the engine is warming up!!

It's the circuit out of it that I need. This thing is NOT going on my bike!! This Riderz thing is the closest I've found in a size that matches my requirements. I basically need a 'Larson Scanner' (as they call these things) on one 220mm x 30mm board with about 22 LEDs, connected to a second, separate board that has all the controllers on, along with a couple of switches and a 12v Molex connector. The second board will be attached to a PCIe blanking plate. Sketches available.

OK, time to make fun of Tasky... Do any of you good folks happen to know a UK shop that stocks the Custom Dynamics accent light known as Knight Riderz? Looks like this: I basically need this, or something similar to it, that runs off a 12V power supply.

No, I have not been back on a bike since... not a real one anyway. I was given an Arse-Bandit 1250 S by the insurance hire company, but I was so glad to see that go, I cannot describe it!!

They look fairly even throughout most of that. Each one picks up against the other, depending on rev range and how the power is being applied by the rider. The 135 (125, surely?) has almost nothing to it, though. It's been seriously stripped down and the gearing isn't designed around getting a massive lump of metal moving. I'd have expected it to be much faster than that... 800 = 50HP @245 - 0.20 125 = 16HP @115 - 0.13

I'm wondering if 'any old one' from another bike would suffice... Should just be a collection of switches, although there will likley be a bit of rewiring required. Do you know what's broken about it?

Could also be wiring corroding away, especially if it's just sat out in the garden!

So long as they're not your own screens, that's fine. Remember - Pragmatism is rule number one. I laugh at those who threaten to kill themselves if "one more person says/does XYZ"... Kill the one more person instead!!

Photos of the rebuild coming soon... Wasn't much visible damage overall, although it's cost a fair bit, nonetheless. Hope to have it back on the road by the end of this week!!

I can see clearly in very low light, more than the average person. But when someone comes blaring past with high beams on at 60mph, on an unlit road from round a bend, I get blinded. Just about every driver I have met has this problem to a vast degree, so Kev you are one of the lucky few. But as you pointed out, being stopped on the speed bump meant you got full HID high beam in your face. The drivers we're talking about have theirs set like this permanently, which is why every fucker is getting blinded.

Pretty much. I was stationary and indicating to turn right... with fecking bright rear and fast-flashing blinker. I had stopped to let three vehicles amble past.

Having closely watched the car lights ahead as I was passed by the inevitable bright-light pricks tonight, I actually wonder if the bint who rear-ended me did so because she couldn't see my brake & indicator lights through the oncoming dazzle...

Fuckin' OK, whatever... I'mma go mess around with my bike. Got a stator disc and rotor to try and route behind the engine somehow... Anyone with small hands, who happens to be in the Reading area around 3am this morning, please drop by my place and gimme a... err... hand? There's beer/coffee/breakfast at Fox's Diner in it for ya...!!
