a couple of years ago i posted on here a problem that i had where the engine would just cut out the bike would restart straight away the problem was intermittent,it was a frightening experience when in the outside lane in the motorway. many folk on here suggested a carb problem pilot jet etc, two yamaha garages couldnt sort the problem out, sometimes it would not do it other times it would happen six or seven times,by this time i was ready to get rid of the bike,i had taken my bike in a little back street garage for an MOT and just happened to mention the cutting out the guy laughed and said i bet you have a datatool alarm/immobiliser fitted an hour later i rode out off the garage new mot datatool alarm disconnected and it never happened again till i bought a triumph and the bike had a datatool fitted the seller said ignore the alarm mate its been disconnected the bloody thing kept cutting out.

take it easy when you get it jumping up to an r6 you will not believe the power it will take a week to get the grin off your face. and depending what harris parts are fitted it will be rapid a lot of the r6 track bikes are upgraded to harris parts. .

dated paint job or not it looks great and super exhaust welcome.
  21. oldtimer replied to blanco's post in a topic in The Bar
harris is a company that make performance parts so the r6 harris means your bike has some harris performance parts fitted but it could be anything, all could be found by google which is what he meant by his post.

where did you buy it from tom,did no information come with it?and what are your plans a full renovation project or just to get it running either way i hope you have deep pockets,it looks like tzr but not sure looking at the swingarm, have you the engine? or a box of bits

yes you can but there are only about 3 maps and they are not very good have tried them but still surges, triumph rat forum recommend tune boy an aussie version of power commander plenty of maps but no agents over here so still the problem of dyno time. with triumph discontinuing the tt600 the chances off any more updates to maps is highly unlikely as they are putting all there efforts into the 675,that said its still a great bike handles well and the brakes are the best and for what i paid well pleased.

many thanks darren sounds just what i am looking for and yes you are right about dyno time so will follow up your lead.
