Hi Jason, A dry plug with misfires makes me think you have an ignition problem and the fuel leakage from the carb overflows would indicate a float or needle problem. Are you sure that the woodruff key holding the mag on is ok & the mag is tight !! There is a chance if this is incorrect the timming may be out. The Carb losing fuel is a different issue so I guess you need to strip the carb out ! Regards Jim

Hi, that is my point ... no matter how good the brakes/tyres & steering are you do need some time on a limited performance bike in order to work out what to do next .... 500 Honda on training & test 70 mph max ... test passed .... the best part of 200mph the next day on the bike you have bought ( as you don't need to own a bike to pass a test). So perhaps the ablity to rent a bike to take a test on should be removed and the learning curve will come (unless your an MP then you can just write an hayabusa down to expenses ) Regards Jim

Hi Alec, there will be no advantage trying to fit a FS1 baffle (trying being the opperative word). The FS1 baffle will not fill the exhaust baffle plates so a build of carbon will occur and actually slow down the YB. YB's suffered from carbon build up within the silencer and the baffle money may be better spent/put toward a new silencer if the bike does not have the zip it should. Failing that you could spend an hour or so with the silencer to remove the possible carbon build up ! Regards Jim

Hi Merv, well good I was in 3rd for a bit (thought I was in top) and the thing was doing silly speeds !!! Regards Jim
  19. Hi, don't forget that bike is now old ... and there be not enough demand to produce parts ... I have problems sourcing parts for my FS1 and to a degree over the years there were far more FS1's on the road over DT175mx's so perhaps the manufacturers do not have the market to warrent the production run ! Regards Jim
  20. Just check that your NEW UK licence is valid to use abroad you may get around the 80cc limit as you hold a vaild licence for a different EU member state, the point is do the DVLA/Government cover you ? Regards Jim
  21. Hi I would guess that bike is using points but buy the same token they dont need a battery to run also .. Regards Jim
