sound like the gearbox side crankseal is going if you can smell fuel in the gearbox oil. and it will be sucking in gearbox oil as well,best to do both sides while you are at it though

They need to get some new staff if they cannot replace a front master cylinder in 2 hours, maybe if you are going to rebuild it and have a tea break for an hour in between it would take 2 1/2 hours, It would appear you have some idiots there as we do here, oh by yhte way i have started putting modern master cylinders from ebay on my classics now FZR XJR being favourite merv

I reckon you are paying for it being a desirable ped a Kinroad WTF is that never eard of it, also the TZR is the direct descendant of the FS1E, RD,s etc that all we looneys were killing ourselves on 30 years ago which will not help, I;E my daughter had a CBX250 honda that we insured for £150 to put her on my RD insurance would up it too £300 from my £90 i only paid £250 for the bike Merv

I reckon THIS is the part you need it will most likely still be available from your local yamaha dealer, phone them and ask have the frame /engine number handy when you do they will want it merv

Remove rear spindle then the back wheel will drop down an forward giving you more slack

powdercoat the casings that is ok i have done them with no problem but not the barrels, PJ1 engine is the best choice in my opinion, but plastikote barbecue or woodstove paint works the woodstove is matt and the barbie paint more satin Merv
