nice bikes there mate HVcycle will have new petcocks for the RD as for the Xs it will be an investment left alone dont for crying out loud cafe it there must be plenty of rough ones out there to cafe, decent original ones like that should be left alone not even restored i think

yes this is what the guy who was writing the story was on about wearing the correct gear, a good set of boots would have saved his foot, I think it was a few years ago when there was less metal between the rider and the chain

that could have been much worse, thankfully you stayed on and did not hit anything, let it be a lesson too us all, always make sure you have a good properly adjusted chain, if you cannot be arsed but a shaft drive, I did read somewhere of a guy whose foot was severed when his chain broke he did not realise it until he he felt the bike slowing up stopped and went too put his foot down and fell over

See if you can find a genuine yam parts list for your bike, and check that way, some EBc kits do several different bikes and may come with an extra plate for another model , i have not had this with plates but i did get a clutch spring set with 6 springs in once when i only needed 5 as it was listed for other models you can buy the steel plates individually if by chance they are the same as the Rd ones let me know i have loads of em and can send you a couple if you need them

Are you sure the grooves are really clean? and the seal is sitting in it properly, cos needing a clamp to push it in is not a good sign, try lubricating the seal and piston with some brake fluid, and make sure the piston is square as you try too push it in, it should go in by hand fairly easily, oh and try the piston in the caliper before you fit the seals jusst too make sure you have the correct one

Do you have the original sales doc? if so can you not contact the original dealer and find the reg from them merv

It was the first 35mm film ever. It was taken by camera mounted on the front of a cable car. The number of automobiles is staggering for 1906. Notice that all the cars apparently have their steering wheels on the right side. The clock tower at the end of Market Street at the Embarcadero wharf is still there. (I'm also wondering ... how many "street cleaning" people were employed to pick up after the horses? (Talk about going green!) And no traffic lights, no cross walks, no painted lanes, no road signs, no cell phones - yet folks seemed to survive okay..........& obviously no pedestrian or driving rules or laws. Notice how much better dressed they were in 1906.This film, originally thought to be from 1905, until David Kiehn, with the Niles Essanay Silent Film Museum, figured out exactly when it was shot. From New York trade papers announcing the film showing to the wet streets from recent heavy rainfall & shadows indicating time of year & actual weather and conditions on historical record, even when the cars were registered (he even knows who owned them and when the plates were issued!).It was filmed only four days before the quake and shipped by train to NY for processing. loud alarm bells are ringing in my head here, no reg details are you sure this bike is legit, not stolen, or anything, is it a grey import that never had a plate in this country?? anyhow If you have a friend in the motor trade that can look up the engine/frame for you on the HPI system you may get it that way, if not you will need to cough up the £55 too yamaha then the £25 too dvla for the log book , or go down the (even more expensive) road of getting a dating certificate and an age related plate certificate,

summat more than wathca would have nice as an introduction, anyhow make sure the tank is venting, if it happens again open the cap and see if it suck in air jhasit got a vacuum tap make sure that is ok and clean any filters in it
