An answer that only a child from Glasgow could think of... I was testing the children in my local primary school to see if they understood the concept of getting to Heaven. I asked them, 'If I sold my house and my car, had a massive car-boot sale and gave all my money to the church, would that get me into Heaven?' 'NO!' the children answered. 'If I cleaned the church every day, mowed the garden, and kept everything neat and tidy, would that get me into Heaven?' Again, the answer was, 'NO!' By now I was starting to smile. Hey, this was fun! 'Well, then, if I was kind to animals and gave sweets to all the children, and loved my wife would that get me into Heaven?'I asked them again. Again, they all answered, 'NO!' I was just bursting with pride for them. 'Well', I continued, 'then how can I get into Heaven?' A six-year-old boy from Glasgow shouted out, 'YIV GOAT TAEBE FU*KIN' DEID FURST'
  8. Scott i am sorry to say you are very very right in your observation that a lot of cagers have nothing in between their ears too stop things escaping straight out of the other side. merv
  9. reminds me of this I saw you hug your purse closer to you in the grocery store line. But, you didn't see me put an extra £10,00 in the collection plate last Sunday. I saw you pull your child closer when we passed each other on the sidewalk. But, you didn't see me playing Santa at the local mall. I saw you change yourmind about going into the restaurant. But, you didn't see me attending a meeting to raise more money for the hurricane relief. I saw you roll up your window and shake your head when I drove by. But, you didn't see me driving behind you when you flicked your cigarette butt out the car window. I saw you frown at me when I smiled at your children. But, you didn't see me when I took time off from work to run toys to the homeless. I saw you stare at my long hair. But, you didn't see me and my friends cut ten inches off for Locks of Love. I saw you roll your eyes at our leather coats and gloves. But, you didn't see me and my brothers donate our old coats and gloves to those that had none. I saw you look in fright at my tattoos. But, you didn't see me cry as my children were born and have their name written over and in my heart. I saw you change lanes while rushing off to go somewhere. But, you didn't see me going home to be with my family. I saw you complain about how loud and noisy our bikes can be. But, you didn't see me when you were changing the CD and drifted into my lane. I saw you yelling at your kids in the car. But, you didn't see me pat my child's hands, knowing he was safe behind me. I saw you reading the newspaper or map as you drove down the road. But, you didn't see me squeeze my wife's leg when she told me to take the next turn. I saw you race down the road in the rain. But, you didn't see me getting soaked to the skin so my son could have the car to go on his date. I saw you run the yellow light just to save a few minutes of time. But, you didn't see me trying to turn right. I saw you cut me off because you needed to be in the lane I was in. But, you didn't see me leave the road. I saw you going home to your family. But, you didn't see me because I died that day you cut me off. I was just a biker...... a person with friends and a family. But, you didn't see me.
  10. well 520/530 is a size not a choice, but as for price well you get what you pay for, a good o ring chain maybe twice the price of a standard one but will last more than twice as the standard one Merv
  11. if you are in no hurry avoid the peages, nice scenery lovely villages etc, nice cafes, interesting churches etc too visit, much better than rushing down the peages merv
  12. Why do you think french drivers come here and drive around like hell, trying to get some points back on their licenses. my french mate moaning Serge was saying about the points thing on the ferry a couple of years ago, i said "Serge disconnect your speed limiter and drive up the motorway flat out the english police will give you some points back then" he did not look too sure about this though merv

did have 2 jim ,SLR and a Vigor, still got the vigor cheap reliable big 650 singles. well built in spain, no one seems to want em so i got a 13000 mile full honda service history 03 reg one last year for £1250 Xt,s etc were a lot more expensive, and i find it ideal for country lanes, sold the SLR recently when i bough the TDR, but the old strokers are needing more care nowadays i sold the RD250 hack last year to finance another 250 rebuild and stick with the honda as the hack, merv
