Over at the aircooled Rd club we have a dating officer that can issue DVLA approved dating certificates and assist you getting an age related plate, Dating certificates you may need to sign up for the forum for this but you now have to join the club due tax laws and is is cheaper than the VJMC i think for other countries he maybe able to confirm the age of your bike for you
-
If it in the centre like that i would say repair it, unless your are going racing or regularly do trackdays doing 100mph + etc i would imagine it will be fine, if you want ot be sure get the plug as paul says and then as a belt and braces approach get em to stick a tube in

nope just had notification from MAG today the french bikers are going on a protest in june about it , they will require hi viz to be won at all times even on bicyles by all accounts now that will upset the ruddy frogs cos they just love to wear their favorite riders outfit just as some saddos in this country alaways wear a football shirt, shorts and boots when watching match of the day Merv extract from the mail i received from MAG tonight French legislators have decided that motorcyclists should compulsorily wear dayglo and reflective clothing. They also want to see immediate jail terms for those caught doing more than 30mph over the speed limit and larger numberplates for bikes so that they can be more easily prosecuted. There are a raft of other things and remember France went ahead with the 100bhp limit back in the 90's, but not surprisingly, the French riding community aren't best pleased and are arranging a mass day of action for June 18th.

2 tips for getting piston out of brake caliper, add yours.
mervin replied to Tuesday's topic in Yamaha Workshop
you can sometimes rig up a grease gun and pump the piston out with grease, Merv -
I would go with checking the carb for blockages bead blasted could mean a bead stuck in an important little hole, Merv
-
Well personally not knowing too much about the modern bikes i cannot really say yes or no, but check the amperage voltage will have to be 12v i am sure then it is just a matter of if it fits into the battery box, i think if you search hard enough online there are web pages that give you the dimensions of batteries etc so a little resarch there will tell you Merv

Shit man that sounds a bit rough, good to hear you are still around mate hope you recover quickly merv
