Yes Andy still struggling to find the points on this newtronics thingy oh also i just got another RD 1500CC this one i see it is written on the side of the engine down by the kickstart should go well. Seriously though I did have a foreign Truck driver (Dutch i think he was) a few years ago parked beside me when i was filling the truck with fuel at taunton services, he pulled the engine oil dipstick out looked at it, went into the shop bought some oil came out looked under the bonnet , scratched his head a bit then came over to me and asked can you tell me where to i put the oil in my truck please merv

Vintage Yamahas and Bloodsuckers
well i did wonder as i had never heard of the yamha vision, honda vision moped yes, also 130 mph on a XS1100 brave man not unobtainable maybe, but do not think anyone would want to cruise at that speed on an excess, the jota was the quickest bike around and if memory serves me correctly only did 135/140 mph, so it seems unlikely, anyhow where do i top up the oil in my engine, and what should me points be set at on my newtronics ignition on my xs750 merv

Weird cornering
Nah Andy, Washed me Entrecote down with a bottle of Red wine last night though, I will agree a good haggis is better than faggot, I do miss going to Hungry Macs in Oban and getting a haggis supper, will have to get back there one day, though most likely too a scotsman haggis in batter with chips is sacrilege, My mate asked for steak pie and chips in there one night, we were amazed when Mac toook the pie from it,s wrapping and lobbed it into the deep fat fryer Merv

Threw jeans in washing machine, drashed the bike back straigh the next morning and rode it back to work. Oh that Mike the bike he knowed a bit about cornering shame ee baint yer to pass it on now though. merv

FJR1300 import
I was thinking about this today, I beleive you can get convertors to put in the speedo line/cable to convert it too mph http://www.mandp.co.uk/productInfo.aspx?catRef=547220 and http://www.mandp.co.uk/productInfo.aspx?catRef=300089 are examples if it fits the bike as for headlamp does it have a fairing with built in lights if not there should be aftermarket lights aplenty available

please be careful folks
I know most of us here are expeienced rideres etc and aware of the dangers of motorcycling but please be careful out there everyone, this comes about as i ws returning home from a shopping trip with the missus on monday and came upon a fatal accident involving a bike. it looked as though the rider had taken the bend too fast and ploughed into the side on an oncoming car, Passing the scene again yesterday the police were searching the area high up the hedge for something. It has made me think this ws not a R1 or anyother plastic rocket it was a big scooter, it would also appar the rider was only wearing at shirt and shorts, so please be careful and if yuo wanna go like hell use a track day, I saw an R1 last year that had skidded off the track at donnington a couple of days before at 120 mph the rider walked away with just a bruise or 2 on his body and pride and the bike had a few scrapes, much safer place to rideat 3 figure speeds Merv

Actually andy it was quite a nice day elswhere, just on the top of the north cornwall clifffs it was foggy I think it was a themed thing on the sinking Rd owners forum the theme was M and this was Morwenstowe spy station, also did mikes mink farm now disused as the government outlawed mink farming and he picked up his remaining mink and cleared of too Denmark Taking Jackie the owner of the divvy i was talking about buying the other day with him merv, still here and watching out for things that go bump in the night

Yamaha 400
Well you have a RD400 there they were fetching silly money in any condition at one time. but not sure if they have muchof a following in spain, now it appeatrs to be all there if that speedo is correct which i very much doubt it is it would be worth something as low mileage, as for price well if you can get it too england anything up to £500 i would say as it is restored properly anything from £1500 to wel what someone is willing to pay, merv
