  3. Sounds like it, bet there is a 17tooth on the front rather than 16t... I had a 17 on mine but I found the last 2 gears even more useless, coming to hills was a nightmare aswell didn't pull as good as the 16t sprocket-got 16t on mine now and I can pull 60mph+ uphill no problem. Ken

  6. Superb, When the time comes for getting on the road I'll make sure i come get a quote from you guys. That might not be for a few months, I'm currently looking at the new slightly more confusing Motorbike test system. From what i can gather. I can ride for 2 years on a CBT, provided i do the CBT on a 125. I can then do either a 125 comunter licence, Or direct acess to 600cc. Since i am over 24 years old. I'm going to have a word with the local test centres. I think we have a speedway, and an airfield in the local area both doing CBT + tests. I'll be phoning and getting quotes once I get my full licence back. It's due for a card renewall.

  8. If it's doing 70mph in 4th you should be happy mine tops out at 60mph in 4th and 75mph in 6th.. I find there isn't much in last 2 gears especially 6th I can only get away with 6th either on the flat or down hill.... If you can get your dt past 60mph with ease then you are fully derestricted, while my Reed switch was in place I would loose a lot of power and struggled to get to 50 never mind touching 70mph Cheers Ken

  9. I have no idea if the actual owner would want to sell his bike or not... but the first step is to find it... and then we will see what happend! And even if he don't want to sell it, at least, he will be happy to know a bit more about the history of his bike! What I think is, if he restored it himself, there is little chance he wants to sell the bike, but if it's a bike he bought restored it's completely different, he can sell this one and find another one... htere is plenty of classic bikes out there! 10. Joining a forum is rewarding and fun, its a community of like minded people with a common interest. like any community, club or group on the 'Net' its good 'netiquette' to introduce yourself, this can be a simple "Hi' or better still a brief intro about 'you', this can include your first name or nickname, your bike/bikes, and where your from etc, its up to you what you put in your intro. This is not an 'on-demand' garage, and it is considered rude to barge in with a "how do I fix this" type question on your first post, however there are a wide variety of members with knowledge and skill that are only too happy to help you out- its just good manners to say 'Hello' first Use the 'search' facility there's tons of info already on this forum and it might help with your question/problem, there is also the option to PM (personal message) a member or a Moderator. Stick around, you might learn something (might) 'Start new topic' on the bottom right of this forum is the place to go
