Posted October 25, 200717 yr Hello, My name is Brian from Oregon, USA. I recently bought a 1965 YDS5 from the original owner. What a find!!! I rode one in 1968, I was 17, and I will never forget the ride, my knees are still shaking. When I found this one I had to have it, anyway to my problem. I rebuilt the carbs and the tank distribution valve and have her running pretty good. The clutch slips really badly so I can't ride yet. I cannot find a clutch kit or much of anything for this bike. I am starting to think there are not many of them left so parts will be hard to find. Maybe there is a secret liquid clutch fluid I can put in the trany and hook me up to that power plant. If I remember rightly the power band on this bike is awesome and your friends following you can follow your smoke trail..........I Love it!!! Are there any old Yamaha Dudes out there that can help me, I would appreciate it very much. Best Regards, Brian
