SS Dude Dad Posted October 25, 2007 Share Posted October 25, 2007 Hello, My name is Brian from Oregon, USA. I recently bought a 1965 YDS5 from the original owner. What a find!!! I rode one in 1968, I was 17, and I will never forget the ride, my knees are still shaking. When I found this one I had to have it, anyway to my problem. I rebuilt the carbs and the tank distribution valve and have her running pretty good. The clutch slips really badly so I can't ride yet. I cannot find a clutch kit or much of anything for this bike. I am starting to think there are not many of them left so parts will be hard to find. Maybe there is a secret liquid clutch fluid I can put in the trany and hook me up to that power plant. If I remember rightly the power band on this bike is awesome and your friends following you can follow your smoke trail..........I Love it!!!
