I've been driving a Vespa scooter 200 cc for nearly 12 years but last November I bought a brand new Kawasaki ER-5 and all I can say is..........yupi, yupi, hey!!!! But now I've been asked to sell an old Yamaha 400 cc. Moderator mervin Posted July 24, 2006 Moderator Share Posted July 24, 2006 Well you have a RD400 there they were fetching silly money in any condition at one time. but not sure if they have muchof a following in spain, now it appeatrs to be all there if that speedo is correct which i very much doubt it is it would be worth something as low mileage, as for price well if you can get it too england anything up to £500 i would say as it is restored properly anything from £1500 to wel what someone is willing to pay, merv Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
ANDYROSE Posted July 24, 2006 Share Posted July 24, 2006 Well I would certainly say that it is a classic bike, but like Mervin I have no idea if they are sought after in Spain which is what would give it any value. I should think that Spanish bike workshops are the same as British ones, they probably won't know anything about it due to it's age. You need to find someone who rode Japanese bikes in the 70's when these were common. My advice would be to give it a good clean and then post some pictures for us to see. I guess this is a 2 stroke engine motorbike which are very dangerous to drive when you're a newbie. The last and only owner only used it for 3 or 4 month. It has remained in a garaje since then.
