Off to the Outer Hebridies this week,   as usual the weather looks crap,,,,14 degrees Max,  ,   thermals packed,, its booked so were tied,,,bah ,

Well it was a great trip.  not a drop of rain,  Harris is the bonniest part,  the beaches are spectacular ,  massive white sand   ice blue waters,  lots of Surfers go there, The ferry broke down  [6 hrs driffting without engines] 2 coastgaurd vessels shaddowed us to post, 1 engine finally started ,Its narrow roads  except the big main road up the centre of the Island,

You should avoid boats (especially West Coast boats) 

 

Sounds a great trip, made all the better with phoaties
