Moderator YamaHead Posted June 28, 2006 Moderator Posted June 28, 2006 I've had that same prob with my XT for over a year now Bottom line is my clocks are shagged! But your issue might be something internally in the gearbox?
ANDYROSE Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 Hi there, I wonder if the neutral light switch has gone u/s? I have no idea where it would be located on your bike but I would look for a couple of wires coming out of the top of the gearbox and try to trace them to see where they go, then maybe try and see if they have any current passing through them. Andy

vmax girl Posted June 30, 2006 Author Posted June 30, 2006 hi,merv,i was up in Boscatle,on sunday...bude is not that far from there....so i was pretty close....good to read someone is on here from our neck of the woods,...what do you ride....??if you don,t mind me askin..
i like my SR Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 Ive got an SR, but im down in helston, bit far, lol. you see where the chain goes in to the gear box, take off that little pannel (two screws, one at top, one at bottom, before flywheal case join) and make sure the wires arent cought on the sporket or that they are shorting. if that doesnt help, im afraind uve got two options; 1. put up with it, lol. or 2. take it to your local bike garage, and ask them to try and fix it. (ps, u sure its not the bulb, or its conections on the dash set? they can work loose sometimes, or get corroded)
Moderator mervin Posted July 20, 2006 Moderator Posted July 20, 2006 Hayle > Helston not that far is it ? Merv
vmax girl Posted July 20, 2006 Author Posted July 20, 2006 my 125 sr,in in the hands of a friend of mine, for a little bit of tlc,so everything will be sorted....then i,ll be out biking... ;)before i brought her she had been used very little,.... idle for a year,
i like my SR Posted July 21, 2006 Posted July 21, 2006 Go gentil on the throtle then, let her do 100 miles on low revs, otherwise you may do some damage to the engine, as bits need to "remember" where they sat when the engine was running. where, roughly, are you near? kim
vmax girl Posted July 22, 2006 Author Posted July 22, 2006 Thanks, for the advice,i am gentle on the throttle, just wish i had more time to be in the saddle, but work tends to get in the,....i live near st.ives....
