a friend of mine is working on this old Yamaha and we are looking for the year of the bike but cant find any thing, the frame number and engine numbers both read IE2 000 110 and i have searched but cant find anything on it. anyone here able to help?

 Looks like a yb100 from the 80's at a glance.

You need to fill out the detail and information, a little about you too, like where you are. That frame number may be nation specific, not knowing which makes it very hard to pinpoint as a lot of the records are scanned not digital so they are searched manually, not forgetting this forum is worldwide so you could be in India for all we know. 

Its not Yamaha info.com, it really is a get what you give on this forum, although congrats on posting photo's.

That compression tester is next to useless for a 2 stroke too.

Especially with no barrel or piston

There might be a label attached around the head stock which gives month and year of manufacture.
