Came back from Hungerford on the M4 on Boxing day 2017 to Chippenham and it was torrential and pitch black. I didn't know whether to come back on the A4 with visor open/part open or the M4 and stay in the slow lane, I chose the M4 slow lane which was ok at 60mph but worried about unseen floods on nearside lanes and spray from idiots overtaking and cutting in without indicating. When I did eventually get back home I was soaked to the skin albeit wearing full leathers, missus (bless her) had to strip me right off in the hallway.
