hi my spark plug leads are getting a bit brittle ,can I change the ht leads ,or do I have to replace the whole coils ,if I have to mchange the coils what ones do I get my bike is a 1992 xv535 2yl

You cant detach the leads on these modern bikes, Rather than shelling out for new coils perhaps It'd be much cheaper to cut back to good pliable lead and connect some new HT lead via a purpose built connector?

you might get some HT lead from your local motor factors shops, check them out or google search the web which I did here and you can get all you need from them?

Do you know what? I've never had to replace my plug leads on any of my bikes (car a lot of times)

Have you ever realised if car leads get wet it causes problems but bike leads are open to all types of weather so I must presume they are very robust to say the least, so does surprise me a little bit that you've got brittle ones.

But, if I where in you're situation I would definatley go for Airheads suggestion of fitting connectors.
