Thought I'd get round to starting a thread on my progress with my little DT!

No pics as yet, I'll stick those up later. I have next week booked off work so I'll hopefully be rebuilding it then, provided I get all the parts together!

Jobs done so far:

Frame, swingarm, handlebars etc all powdercoated matte black

Polisport halo headlight

Braided brake lines

New cables

Carb ultrasonic cleaned (getting that back this week)

Engine side cases powdercoated dark grey (getting those back next week)

New fixings

2nd hand rear shock

Jobs still to do:

Paint and rebuild rear shock linkage

Buy some new plastics/stickers

New chain and sprox

Install headlight relay

Remove rev limiter (woop)

Probably loads more I've missed, but it's a start!

So, made some progress today, new bearings, bushes and seals in the swingarm and rear shock linkage.

Also cleaned the powdercoat off some of the pivot points.

Tomorrow will be retapping holes and servicing the brake calipers

So, most of the holes retapped (I'm sure I've missed a few) and subframes fitted. Now for my least favourite activity - cleaning things lol

So today wasn't massively successful, held up by the fact i haven't got the right spanners for the headstock bearings! They're arriving tomorrow though so I'll hopefully get the forks, bars, front wheel and then clocks/headlight fitted.

I have managed to fit the airbox and battery tray, then some of the electronics. As well as the radiator.

Should hopefully start cleaning the loom up tomorrow as well

The motors all gravy, but I'm having both side covers powdercoated so just waiting for those back. Then it'll need a good scrub and should be ready to go!

Also new chain/sprox have arrived so should be able to fit the rear wheel, once I've finished spraying up the adjusters and spacers

I'm taking off the rev limiter, sporty pipe but nothing silly. But yeah I was tempted by big bore kits etc

Ah yeah. Well it's running sweet as a nut, reset the air mixture screw to stock settings, tweaked the throttle return screw and she fired up! Done a good few hundred miles since.

Latest update is fitted a Trailtech Vapour speedo and dash, very snazzy!

Next step is to have the exhaust ceramic coated matte black.
