Havent a clue on pricing,, find a good bike garage rather than main dealer,,,,,,, or better again learn as you do it yourself,,,, so ya know what's what for the next time and for when things go wrong with the bike

That's just my thought on it all

I suspect that a main Yam dealer full service would be oil change, air and oil filter change, and clean or change the spark plugs. They will also check visually things like brakes etc and report on those, and you are likely to be charged at least £50 per hour plus parts.

The tasks above are bog standard and could/should be done by all but the most inept. Nice simple work to start with

A 14yr old 125 will benefit little and you will be robbed at a main stealer. Its survived a lot of abuse already.

As said servicing is not drastic.

Get a haynes manual and have a read.

Thanks guys, is the virago Haynes Manuel for the 125 also as have read it doesn't include it but assume things like changing oil and draining petrol as that's also been Sat around for 4 months and cleaning plugs and carbs is the same for bigger bikes

It is against the forum rules to post a link to free manual downloads, but they are out there if you look

Change the oil and filter, clean / change plugs, drain carbs (try this first before puling them apart) Fresh petrol and away you go.

If it is hydraulic brakes, think about changing the fluid. If it is drums, oil the cable inners. Also oil the clutch and throttle cables

Ask on here if you need more details
