Posted January 29, 201510 yr Since i have rebuilt engine I have to ride everywhere with my choke open (up) soon as i take the choke off it revs up slightley then bogs down wen I open the throttle a bit n then just dies! Any advice as I don't no what screws I need to me ajusting on the carb. Cheers matt.
February 2, 201510 yr pull the carb apart and clean it. every little bit of it. the smallest bit of dirt can block the pilot system in them. strip it and blow carb cleaner through it and start from there. also while you have it apart make sure your reeds are ok.
February 3, 201510 yr Moderator Does it idle? When you Rev it do the revs stay high, slowly coming does and then it dies?
April 24, 201510 yr If you have just rebuilt the engine and done nothing to the carb the problem could be elsewhere. I'd suggest you check for airleaks - misfitted gaskets and leaking crankshaft seals can cause these symptoms.
