Hi guys, I have a 1979 DT125 and I require help in identifying the wires that come out of the magneto, I am trying to get spark, the wires coming from the magneto are yellow, black with white stripe, green with white strip.

yellow - goes to the lighting switch

black with white stripe - Goes to the coil and changes to solid black. It also goes to the ignition and kill switches. This is the live side of the coil as the other (also black, wire from the LT part of the coil is the earth.

green with white strip - Changes colour to white after a connector block and goes to the rectifier.

Thanks heaps, this is probably a stupid question but do I need the rectifier to run the bike?
