ojmiddleton Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 Adjusted up my rear brake before todays ride, turns out it really wasnt doing anything at all! So much more slow control now. However, smells a bit now, its not rubbing as the wheel is free, not heatin up either. Wondered if its just the extra use, possible the parts (shoe, drum, pads, disc i dunno - anyone?) were new too, I picked the bike up for a friend about 3 years ago after n mot prep n service and it didnt get ridden untill last month, and only today did the back brake see any real use. Works really good! Have slackened it off another turn, see if it makes a difference tomorrow.
blackhat250 Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 Yeh oj" I use a lot of back brake in wet or gravely roads, easier to control if she slides,,
ojmiddleton Posted November 30, 2014 Author Posted November 30, 2014 Prob over tightened it, the extra turn backwards worked, not smelling today!
ojmiddleton Posted December 3, 2014 Author Posted December 3, 2014 Moved to the workshop. Gotcha. Thanks
KevtheRev Posted December 26, 2014 Posted December 26, 2014 Can't beat the smell of hot brakes and two stroke , better than heroin !
