blackhat250
Hi Mario " I would think carb , but exhaust may need De-coked, or a rebore if compression low,,, There is a new members section on here ,,pop up an intro,,
marioc68
On the issue of carburetion. Accelerated more or less at half throttle, the bike is noted as drowned, shot choke but does not exceed 80 km / hr. Could be the main jet or the position of the needle? main jet standard: 190 Needle Position: 2nd. top pilot jet:
Moderator DirtyDT Posted November 29, 2014 Moderator Share Posted November 29, 2014 The carb specs are right. They may be worn or, as Blackhat says, need a rebore, new plug/airfilter/genuine jet replacement etc. When new the bike should have reached around 110Kph - but the bike is 45 years old! Amazing technology when new.
