Moderator Airhead Posted November 4, 2014 Moderator Share Posted November 4, 2014 sounds like someone wired the kill switch in parallel to the ignition somehow!

Moderator Airhead Posted November 4, 2014 Moderator Share Posted November 4, 2014 as a temporary fix maybe unplug the kill switch and just use the keyswitch?
Rhys Jarmesty New
Unfortunately I have been told I need both for the MOT or is this away round it ?
Moderator DirtyDT Posted November 4, 2014 Moderator Share Posted November 4, 2014 Got to agree with Airhead. The killswitch is just an earth to stop the coils from sparking. What happens when you disconnect the kill switch? Does it work or not??

KevtheRev
Will the bike pass the mot if you remove the kill switch altogether for the test ? (Assuming the ignition works ).

tomyqss
you don't need a kill switch for the mot, but if theres a switch there, then it has to work for the mot
