November 4, 201410 yr Moderator sounds like someone wired the kill switch in parallel to the ignition somehow!
November 4, 201410 yr Author Thanks for the reply airhead I have friends that worked in bike shops for years an he is still trying to work it out a week later Really need to get it fixed soon it can't pass an MOT like this
November 4, 201410 yr Moderator as a temporary fix maybe unplug the kill switch and just use the keyswitch?
November 4, 201410 yr Author Unfortunately I have been told I need both for the MOT or is this away round it ?
November 4, 201410 yr Moderator Got to agree with Airhead. The killswitch is just an earth to stop the coils from sparking. What happens when you disconnect the kill switch? Does it work or not??

November 5, 201410 yr Will the bike pass the mot if you remove the kill switch altogether for the test ? (Assuming the ignition works ).

November 5, 201410 yr you don't need a kill switch for the mot, but if theres a switch there, then it has to work for the mot
