I've only ever used Shell v-power on my bikes. It costs around 10 pence extra a litre compared to standard fuel but when it only costs a tenner to fill my tank it doesnt matter. If I drove a Range Rover I would rethink haha. I can definatelly tell the difference.

I'm surprised your having problems with your bike. It's the dealers fault not Yamaha. You need to make sure they don't fob you off. Your bike should be perfect.

  • I changed my fuell from Tesco 99 octane momentum to BPs 97 octane, starts immediately and smells fine too now guess it's picky with what you put in to tank. Case closed farts along nicely now.

  • I had this sort problem with a dealer. I said really "I'll have a word with Yamaha direct" and amazingly it got sorted!

  • Take it back to the shop and get a full refund. If it doesn't start now, what are you going to do during the winter and in a couple of years? A bike that does not start is not fit for purpose.
