Posted September 9, 201410 yr Hi Guys. Having real problems getting her to run properly. SYMPTOM: When riding in 5th at about 60mph, If I come off the power the bike wont start to accelerate again until the speed drops to about 35mph. (Feels like she's bogging down!) Does the same thing in 4th aswell. + Had full top end rebuild. (Ran fine after rebuild) + Carb float valve replaced + Jets flushed and cleaned + Tank cleaned out and flushed + Adjusted mixture screw several times - no luck + Running slightly smaller jet at the moment - could this be source of problem? Any help really appreciated.
September 9, 201410 yr Moderator Needle for around three quarters throttle and main for the bit after that. Are they genuine jets or cheap fleabay ones? Is the needle set on the right height setting? Why are you using a smaller jet and is this the main, pilot or both
September 9, 201410 yr Moderator check you have a good flow of fuel to the carb, disconnect the pipe and have a look-see
September 9, 201410 yr Author Hi Guys. There seems to be some confusion - my fault - about the size of the current jet, it was replaced during the top end rebuild. I will get in touch with the garage and find out its spec. Thank you for your help, I'll post again when I've got more accurate info.
