Hey folks first question and the search function doesn't seem to throw up much on the mobile.

I'm planning on putting some 16'' or 18'' apes on my dragstar and know I'm going to need to extend the throttle and clutch cables. However I'm wondering what else will need extending and what wires will be needed so some advice on what is needed and where to get would be really appreciated.

Bike is still at the garage as the 3rd party are dragging their knuckles giving the repair job a green light.

sounds like you've already got ape hangers... or is that knuckle draggers?

You'll need longer brake lines too , and possibly wiring for the switchgear as well . Bars like that will also change the feel of the steering quite a lot .

and you'll drop your top speed down to about 50-55mph

And you'll be hung out like a bedraggled Superman in the rain .

I've just bought some 16" apes for mine, haven't put them on yet as need the money but as far as I know we need all the cables extended and all the wiring as well
