Posted May 11, 201410 yr Oil and filter change and new sump washer also a punchure repair in rear wheel been quoted 94.50 pound is this avarage or am i been ripped off . Fz6n useing motol 10w40 semi sync ??
May 11, 201410 yr Keansey, When you really think about it that's not a bad price, if they have to remove the rear wheel and the tyre then fix the puncture plus supply the filter and oil and dispose of the old oil and stuff then it's going to be at least a couple of hours work and they usually charge about £40 an hour so I would say that it's pretty good value. Just my opinion really but I would do the oil and filter change myself and get them to do the puncture.
May 11, 201410 yr I'm with Slice on this one. Oil/filter - basic maintenance Save more cash, take the wheel off yourself and take it in, Again, basic maintenance
May 12, 201410 yr Moderator Not sure about where you are but in the UK some high performance tyres can't be legally repaired. That said, for less than £100 I would let the shop sort it.
May 13, 201410 yr Author I can do any maintenance on the bike i just want to keep a good service history and as for the punture Its only a small pin stuck in the tyre as the guy in the mot center on thurs advised me to have it looked at .
